Problem

With my recent update installs I'm finding that I'm getting serious 'sidebands' or interference sounds. Running a simple Oscillator, for example, on a sine wave, gives me all kinds of sidebands, including some sporadic noise bursts, clicks and pops. It almosts sounds like a ring modulator sound rather than a sine wave. I get this with headphones or speakers. I haven't experienced this before, and I can't seem to trace the problem to any sources. I can't quite figure out if it's a local problem in my sound system, or endemic to KymaX?. I'm running Kyma 687 Windows, on a 64bit Windows 7 system and Capy 320. Running for years without such problems.... Note that this effect is not on all sounds and at all volumes/amplitudes. Mostly I can get clear effects in simple sounds, such as unmodified prototype Oscillator sounds. Crazy. Bob
